1996 DPAAS 2nd Annual Symposium Information
The 1996 2nd Annual DPAAS National Symposium took place on Tuesday, September 17, 1996, at the Dayton Marriott Hotel (Patterson Blvd by NCR) and Wednesday, September 18 for a 1997 Planning Session at WPAFB.
The activities scheduled for the Symposium main event on Tuesday Sept 17 included:
- Keynote Remarks by MGen Dickman, DoD Office Space Architect
- A panel of several key speakers discussing high level decision aid needs/requirements.
- Panel discussions with speaker/audience feedback
- A second panel of briefers discussing user experiences with decision aids
- A second panel discussion with speaker/audience feedback
- Luncheon presentation by ASC/CV, BGen Robert Bongiovi
- Future DPAAS objectives by National President Lavon Jordan
- A third panel with presentation of papers on availbale tools/decision aids
- Panel discussion with speaker/audience feedback
- Demonstration of various automated tools
- No-host Social gathering after the briefings

Working groups to focus on issues and action plans for DPAAS 1997 goals. Three panels (mirroring the sessions on Wednesday's conference) of interested individuals will discuss issues from the previous conference day

Teams developed action plans for 1997 goals in the areas of tool requirements available versus needed tools and decision aid standards

Teams met together with DPAAS Board to outbrief results and define actions items and plan to close them
